Using the fantastic colours of this months mood board as inspiration i came up with this fun art journal page.

I started by using white texture paste and tissue paper to dive an old page look to the journal page. Tissue paper is so versatile and fun to use. I used an old stiff brush to move the tissue paper around the page, using the texture paste to hold the tissue paper to the page.

I started with Dylusions Paint Vanilla Custard painted directly onto the page. I then placed a stencil onto the page and using a baby wipe wiped the paint away from the stencil leaving a reversed stencil effect (rubbing). I love doing this as it gives a slightly different effect to the stencil. I used the same technique with Laidback Lilac Dylusions paint.

Then is used some super groovy stencils over the page. Loving the paint brushes in this stencil.

I then googled an image of a ladies face. I cut out the image using the lips ,eye and eyebrow for the page. I also used the outline of the face as a stencil for the page. I placed the out line on the page as a stencil and used Dylusions Paint (Periwinkle Blue) to frame out the face. I then glued down the eye, lips and eyebrow to the page. 

I stenciled flowers with Dylusions Paint (vanilla Custard) as well as used yellow rust paste on the face. I used black pen to outline the face, lips, eye and eyebrow. I used Finnabair wax on the lips and eye (electric violet and old denim) for the eye and (Rose Gold) for the lips.

I used Tim Holtz words on the face and brown rust paste to out line the words. I also used black pen to scribble over the bottom half of the page as well as go over the stamped words art for arts sake.

Then i finished off the page with Dylusions paint (Calypso teal) with a stencil around the top of the page.
