It's that time of year again. Christmas decorations are on display everywhere you look. Here in Australia we have long hot summer days full of too much sun and evening storms. Ever since i was a kid i've been captivated by winter Christmas. This cute little Altered Frame is captures what Winter Christmas means to me. ![]() started by gluing down the chip board backing with gel medium. Once dry i covered the whole frame with white gesso. ![]() I used this adorable resin trees, available in store. I first sprayed them with Lindy's spray (Cathedral Pines Green). While it was still wet a sprinkled some Stampendous (Gold medium glitter) over the trees. I then used Lindy's Magical Shaker (Lederhosen Laurel). At this time i used gel medium to attach beads of various sizes then covered the lot with white gesso. While the gesso was wet i used the glitter on the larger beads. I then attached the trees with the gel and painted around the trunks with the gesso. Then i played around with Lindy's Magical Shaker (Bavarian Blue). So much fun. At first i sprayed a fare amount of water to the background, adding a little more shaker dust here and there to get a darker shadow around the edges. I then added a little (Polka Purple) shaker dust. Unfortunately the photo doesn't show up the purple as much as in real life. I also added it to the frame itself. I hope you have enjoyed this little Christmas art project.
