Hi!! How are all of you doing? I'm here today with my entry for the moodboard challenge for April. I just love this colour scheme! Of course i ve used some lovely products i got from random arts. Let me show you what i've done with these.(and some products from my stash) First i painted a canvas in a very soft blue colour that i mixed by using white and dark blue. Then i used distress ink to add some more colour. i used 2 different shades of blue. After that i took some tim holtz paper to cover the whole canvas. To glue it down i used matt gel medium. After it was dry i went back in with the ink,, as the colours didn't show enough in my opinion. After that, i used a stencil i have in my stash and some texturepaste to add some more interest to the background. Now it is time to start working on the focal point. I cut out some flowers with my cuttlebug. I used different sizes and blue and whote paper, and some old music paper. Then i inked the edges with distress inks. i then cut out some pieces of coffee dyed cheesecloth and pinned everything together with some pearly pins. And stuck them in half of a spyroform ball. After that i wanted to add some bling with these stones i had in my stash. After that was done i gave the resin pieces a coat of gesso and covered them in inka gold old silver mousse. And accented the lines with finnabair was aged brass. Now it's time to put everything together. Under te ball i put some more cheesecloth and lace, to give it that vintage feel that i like. I m gluing everything down, using a glue gun. Adding the resin pieces, the white flowers, some pearls and some more diamond stones. And this is the result. Tadaaaaaa. Product list random arts:
- kaiser craft paper flowers Kaisercraft - resin pieces Resin Creations - distress inkTim Holtz of course more of the other products i've used from my stash, you can find in the shop. Like texture paste, paint etc. So just browse and check it out! Thank you for reading my post. I hope you liked it! With this months mood board being beautiful pastel blues i thought creating a sweet fairy would be super fun. ![]() I started out by using a mixture of Lindy;s sprays, colour blast sprays and water and allowing it to drip and blend on the canvas. I also used Lindy's shaker. I sprinkled some onto my messy mat and added water, i then sprayed the canvas and used a paint brush to add the shaker. Apparently there was some glitter on my craft table from another project, so a few flakes made it to the canvas. Not to worry though as i used a lot of glitter later in the canvas. I kept adding more spray to the edges of the canvas to frame the centre, lighter section. ![]() I then flipped the canvas as i liked the look of the drips going upwards. Not that it really mattered as i ended up covering the middle with Texture paste. I used texture paste through a stencil around the edge of the canvas. ![]() I used plasters tape to cover the middle of the canvas then used my pallet knife to smear texture paste through it. One i pull the tape away it leaves behind tiny little squares. I then sprayed it with Lindy's spray. I then rubbed the sides of the canvas with Lumire Halo-gold acrylic paint. (Product list at the end of the blog) ![]() I forgot to take progress shots here sorry. I used a Tim Holtz frame that i covered with white gesso and then sprayed with lindy's sprays and then rubbed Finnabair wax over the top. I did the same with the hip board fairy and small chip board vines. I also sprayed some of the flowers with Lindy's sprays. I used small light blue beads under the frame and then the fairy to give them some height. I also filled the middle of the frame with clear craft glued and sprinkled glitter all over it. I also dry brushed the fairy with white gesso, however i wish i had made her a little more white as she almost gets lost with the bakground. Opps, maybe another day. I also used some old white curtain cord and a mitforms casting plaque. I dry brushed the mitforms with white gesso and sprayed it with Lindys spray. PRODUCT LIST: Colour Sprays - Sapphire

I hope you are all keeping safe and well. I have a new layout to share with you today called 'Lovely'. For this layout, I worked with what the card stock had to offer and left the rest of the background clean so its not overcrowded and the focus is on the photo and the creation. I distressed the papers behind the photo as well as the photo itself and inked them all. For the chipboard, I used Nuvo stone drops and it gave it that extra dimension. I added glitter paint to the flowers for extra sparkle and art stones as well as gold micro beads around the layout. For the frame, I also used Nuvo stone drops for that added dimension and placed gold rhinestones on top. I hope this layout inspires you to keep crafting through these difficult times. Until next time...happy crafting! Mel x Products Used

How are all of you doing? I hope you are all safe in this weird time. This time i made a postcard with some lovely products i got from random arts. (product list below) I chose the word beauty. So first i made a base for the card out of cardstock. So i am able to open the card. Inked the edges. Then i took some old bookpages and tore them. Then, inked the edges., and glue it down. The following step is ink the edges of the decorative paper from the pack and glue it on top of the bookpages, showing just some edges of the bookpages. Now its time to start decorating!!! The most fun part. I took 2 different rolls of washi tape from my stash. In different sizes. Then put them on top of eachother. As i was going for a vintage look, i added some pearl trim, coffee stained cheesecloth, lace and some vintage looking tags. I glued everything down with my gluegun and tacky glue. The big focal point is the pretty flower. Its al ready made and ready to go which is so useful. Last things to add are the tags, the word 'beauty'and some flat back pearls. And there you go, an easy and quick card. But very beautiful! I hope you all like it!

I painted several places with art alchemy acrylic paints Metallique Mermaid Teal and Glue-Gold. I used gesso again, wax paste and glamour gel to unify individual shades and highlight the top layers I applied gold embossing powder to the bird cage chipboard a stuck it on the top. Finally, I glued a stick, tied a string, made a few splashes with diluted gess0 and glued the sign "make a wish". Hey there! Another month, a new mood board challenge and this one is simply stunning with its beautiful soft blue tones. So here is my new Design Team layout for the Random Arts April Moodboard challenge titled 'Devoted' I incorporated two different card stocks for this layout. I ripped one of them basically in half horizontally and inked the edges. Before adhering on top of the other card stock, I stuck some lace embellishments down where the two were going to overlap. I used foam tape to stick the top one down so it is slightly raised above the bottom one, which you may be able to see in one of the close up photo's below. I used a die to cut out the frame for my photo and then glued down some glitter to make it sparkle. I placed wood wool under my photo and embellishments for added texture. I used quite a few resins in this layout, which are all available from the Random Arts store online. For these resins, I used wax on some and sprays on the others (see my product list below). I painted some silver wax over the green leaves to blend it a little with the layout and I added some blue beads, stencilling and script stamp around the layout to finish it all off. I hope my layout has inspired you to give this month's challenge a go. There is plenty of time to enter for your chance to win a $25 store voucher. Click here to enter.
