Hi creative souls... Roopashree here, am back with a lovely & cute Cupid tag for Valentine's Day. "A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.”I love being married. It’s so great to find one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.” Let's start with the project. To make the surface workable, I primed it with a coat of black Gesso and allowed it to dry, I added some texture to the surface by stenciling with texture paste. Decorated the base with embellishments available in the store, like metal charms, pearls, primed chipboard, resin feather, Cupid & flowers & some embellishments out of my stash, layered & arranged them as shown in the image. I have used heavy gel mediam to stick the embellishments. Waited till everything was dry before moving on to the next step. Gave a coat of black gesso covering the embellishments, waited till they dried. Next using dry brush technique appy art alchemy paint (black berry). To highlight the embellishment I have used impasto colors & applied metallic wax. Few clicks of finished project. Hope u all like & admire the Cupid Tag Happy Valentine's Day ❤ Material list :

Hey there! I'm on the blog today with my new DT layout 'Memories' using these beautiful colours which compliment each other so well. I recently received my new box of goodies from Random Arts to work with and a lot of it was used on this layout (see product list at end of post). The card stock background itself was already enough, so I simply added some more script stamping around my design to match it. A lot of fussy cutting was done using beautiful Mintay papers. Chipboard was painted and placed behind various areas to make the photo pop. Some gorgeous flowers were used to compliment the beautiful tones. Some resins, gears and art stones were also added for extra dimension.
I hope you liked this layout as much as I liked making it :) Mel x Hello everyone ! Today I have prepared a canvas in moodboard colors for February. I first glued some scraps of text to the canvas covered with gesso and placed some Mitform components a rsin component. I painted these places with acrylic paint Impasto from Finnabair and used the following shades: Linen, Dusty Rose and Wild Iris. I applied a stamp to some places. On this basis I layered other resin and metal components and also painted them with acrylic paints. Finally I added paper straws and resin components up. I painted them with Linen shade only.. I used this material: canvas metal components from Mitform resin components from Random Arts acrylic paints from Finnabair Textile Stamp Set from Colour Blust Thank you for your visit and I look forward to next time! Have a nice time!
Here is my free post for the month, mermaid altered frame. It was so fun playing with the new release Mitforms and resins available in store. I used plenty of Lindy's sprays in this work. I started by covering this cute little frame with texture paste then ripping up some old lace and wrapping the frame loosely with it, then covering the lot with a good coat of white gesso. Once the frame was dry i used many Lindy's sprays on the frame. (to be listed with links at the end of the blog). I sprayed onto my messy mat and used a paint brush to apply the Lindy's sprays. I started with the blues, then the greens. I mixed Tim Holtz (antiqued bronze) and white gesso as an under coat for the shells and a light dry brush on the (scrapinec) chipboard. I then used a mixture of two yellow Lindy's sprays and (oktoberfest orange) magical shaker over the top of the shells. I used a mixture of three purple Lindy's sprays and (Polka Purple) magical shaker on the Mermaid tail. I dry brushed the Mitforms with Tim Holtz and white gesso. (I decided not to use the large bling resin in the above photo) I also used this really cool grass stuff (link at bottom of blog) and some pearl beads to decorate. I also decided to give the shells a bit of bling by using gold glitter. I hope you enjoyed this blog as much as i did creating it. (Product Photo) Polka Purple Magical Shaker

Happy Crafting Hey there! Its my turn on the blog today and I'm sharing my take on this month's moodboard challenge. I absolutely loved this month's colours and working with beautiful subtle pinks and purples.. I had beautiful card stock to work with so not much background needed to be added but I did do some random stamping, as I felt some black script just finished the overall background look. I used beautiful soft toned elements which required a lot of fussy cutting and placed them around my photo and covered my chipboard with sparkly silver glitter which matches the soft tones of this layout perfectly. To cut out my image and card stock behind my image I used a circular metal die and stuck wood wool between the embellishments for added texture. I sprayed the title in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide spray and used a label maker for the rest of it.
I also added some pink beads around the layout to finish it all off. I hope you all liked my take on this month's challenge, and don't forget there's still time to enter for your chance to win a $25 store voucher. https://www.randomarts.com.au/blog/february-moodboard-challenge Until next time... Mel x Hello everybody! As St. Valentine's Day is approaching, I create today for you tag For my Valentine. I first applied Stone effect paste to the tag. Then I used Sturburst Spray from Lindy´s shade Autumn Maple Crimson. I imprinted a background stamp in several places. I painted the chipnoard and resin ornaments with acrylic paint in the same shade as the spray In the next step I layered chipboard, Bo Bunny cutouts and resin ornaments. Finally, I added string, gauze and glass balls to decorate. I highlighted the raised motifs and edges with Opal Magic Vintage Silk. I used this material: stone effect paste stencil and spatula Starburst spray Autumn Maple Crimson background stamp Colour Blast acrylic paint Carmine Bo Bunny Noteworthy Soiree Finnbair Art Alchemy Metalic Wax Vintage Silk string, gauze, glass balls I wish you a beautiful Valentine's Day ! I absolutely love Altered things. This month i decided to create a dream catcher with an altered box lid. I created this for my daughter who loves the colours of this months mood board colours. I started by covering a piece of paper with texture paste. Once dry i used texture paste through various stencils. I then traced around the box lid and cut it out, gluing it inside the lid. As you can see in the above photo i changed my mind on the stencil and went with a floral stencil. I then covered the edges of the inside lid with texture paste as well as the outside of the lid. I then added a chip board frame, resin roses and coloured beads. I then covered them all in white gesso. I then used loads of lindy's sprays and finnabair wax. Detailed products details at end of blog. I then added some lace, ribbon, flower fabric, white beads and flat back beads and a white diecut. I also used a mitforms casting word and a resin butterfly. Both available in store.. The metal butterfly in the middle is off an old necklace. It was an absolute joy creating this dream catcher. Please check out the links below to the products used in this artwork. While checking out these products look at all the amazing chip boards, resins and mitforms.
