Hellloooooo Creative Lovelies. Today I have for you a canvas with a view. First off I have done some stenciling to set my scene. Next give the chipboard & resin pieces a coat of white gesso. I have used some metallic paint for the top of the window and some blue distress paint for the window, then using a crackle stamp and stamp pad I have done some random stamping to age the window. For the Die Cuts, and corner pieces I have used 3 different colours of Green Metallic Paint, purple for the grapes and black for the resin words. Now to make the windowbox for the flowers. 1st I have used a nurofen box, but anything similar will do, use some masking tape along the bottom and around the sides, then cut down to the top of the tape. measure enough tape to fit the front and sides and stick to a flat surface, I have then stencilled a cobblestone pattern and let dry. Then using some super- tac glue adhere to the box. Colour the finished window-box with a dark gray colour and then using some 450 Quick dry Glue add some artificial moss. Again using the 450 Quick-Dry Glue add your flowers how you like. I have now added some colour to the background with some yellow, green and Brown, I have used a mixture of different sprays. Now start adding your chipboard pieces to the scene and the window-box using the 450 Glue And finaly glue all the die-cut vines and resin pieces on. Close-ups I hope you have been inspired by my creation
and keep evolving your inner artist. Hugz Amanda

Helloooooo Everyone..... Today I have an Altered Box Project for you. I am using some of the Helmar adhesive range which is great for this type of project and I am definately giving them a workout. Here is a pic of the main pieces I used. A cardboard soapbox, some bits of Chipboard, Lace, Metal Horse Legs, Handles & Corners and a Pegasus Resin Creation. First thing is to attach the lace using 450 Quick Dry Adhesive I have used some of the Super-Tac Glue to adhere the Chipboard pieces. To attach the Box Legs I have once again used the 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. I thought I would use the Tiger Grip to attach the crown. Once everything is glued on and dry, give the whole box 2 coats of Black Gesso. Once dry I have used Tattered Angels Spray "Fully Purple" all over. I have used some White Gold Wax all over, but thought it was a little plain so decided to use the Gemstone Glue to adhere some Swarovsky Crystals around the sides. To colour Pegasus I have used several waxes to layer up the colour, (if you dont have waxes, metallic paint will do) I decided to add some other Sworovski Crystals to Pegasus's Crown, and a couple on each of the metal corners, but before I glued her on I added some Moon Crystals using the Gemstone Glue. Here are some more pics of the finished project. Products Used

Hugz Amanda M Hello Lovelies. Here is my blog for the September mood board challenge. I love the colours of this months mood board. The beautiful baby blues, teal and pinks are just stunning. I created this Altered letter S for my daughter Scarlett for her 5th birthday. As she loves Elsa and all things Frozen this months mood board was the perfect inspiration to create something for her in her favourite colours. I started with a hard timber letter i purchased from my local dollar store. I then played around with placement of the resins, chip boards and jewellery until i had a plan. The resins are available in store as are most of the chip boards. Once i was happy with placement i glued everything done and gave the whole thing a good coat of white gesso. I added a few flowers i had laying on my craft table from another project. Using a soft brush i played around with Finnabair Opal Magic (Teal-blue and Pink-blue). I love this product so much. So smooth to paint with leaving just the right amount of shimmer to the project. I also added a little Lindy's sprays (Time traval teal and Azure sea Asters). Here i used Finnabair wax's. (Indian pink, Peacock and mint sparkle) I never really have a plan of attack when using the wax, i just do what feels right and have fun with it. I then added some mini prills and that's about it. I love all the small details in this, it looks amazing on scarlett's shelf.
Thankyou for viewing my blog. Check out www.randomarts.com.au for all the product's i have used here and much more. Get yourself a kit and get creative. White gesso Hey there! I'm back today with unfortunately my last DT layout for Random Arts. So I hope you like this layout. I started this layout by stenciling with some transparent relief paste and then spritzing the paper to make the stenciling show. I heat embossed all the chipboard on this layout. I arranged the euphoria pieces under and around the flowers and weaved the lace through, tying it into a bow To finish off this layout I used some silver flakes over the flowers and around the page to make it sparkle. I also added some crystals. So I hope you have enjoyed seeing my DT layouts for Random Arts this year. It was great being part of this wonderful Design Team. Mel x Products Used

I decided to go back to basic's with an Art Journal Page. With the stresses of day to day life i personally needed time to reflect and find some inner calm. Working in an Art Journal is fantastic therapy. I started this page by giving it a good coat of white gesso. Once dry i then used white texture paste through a variety of stencils, building up texture and patterns. I then used a graphite pencil to roughly draw a design. At the beginning i was feeling a fairy spirit through the page, however this changed as the page moved on. Now this is where the fun started. I used so many fun product's here. I started by using a wet brush and smearing water all over one side of the page. I then dripped, sprayed and painted on Lindy's sprays and little birdie color blast. (full product list at the end of the blog) I then added a little icing paste through another stencil to add some shimmer and shine. I used dylisions paints and tim holtz distress paint for the lady's face. I used watered down lindy's flat fabio to paint in the details of the face, eyes and lips. I added a few lines of hair to add more details. ![]() I used black ink and stamps throughout the page, washed out places with white gesso and a baby wipe and used a black sharpie pen to detail where needed. ![]() I smudged white gesso so i could write some words. I adore how much texture this page has. Really happy with the outcome. Hello again crafty friends! A new month brings a new mood board challenge at Random Arts and this one is my favourite - Mint! Who doesn't love that beautiful pastel soft colour :) So here is my DT layout for this month's mood board, I hope you love it and get inspired to join in. For this background I used a rose stencil with white gesso, then sprinkled embossing powder over the top while it was still wet. I then arranged my elements under and around my photo. Once I attached my photo, I attached some chipboard chains on either sides which I heat embossed pink/white. I also embossed some small puzzle chipboard pieces in the same colour and others in a shabby white colour. Once everything was attached in its place, I stuck some feather like flower stalks in between the flowers to soften it a little. I scattered some art stones around the layout and attached some crystals. I also dabbed a small circular lid into black ink and randomly stamped it around the outside of the layout. And that's it! I hope you liked my latest creation for Random Arts. You will find a list of products I've used below and on the website. If you would like to give this month's challenge a go, here is the mood board- you could win a $25 store voucher or a guest designer spot! Good Luck! Enter here. I will be back very soon with another new creation to show you! Until then...happy crafting! :) Mel x Products Used
